Breaking news!!! 📰 🎙️ We bring a new feature to TYL’s Settings screen: The possibility to change the chat messages speed! Wohooo! 🥳

A lot of our players have been asking for this since Text Your Life went live on Itch.io, so we finally looked into it so our fastest readers don’t end up losing their patience! 🤪 Hehe. Until now, you had to activate the “Skip unseen text” option and then use the “Skip button” for the messages to appear faster, but this had a downside: the player could potentially skip an unseen scene if a new option was chosen while replying.

But we finally found a safest way for you to enjoy the game at your preferred speed! 🫡 All you have to do to change the speed of the chat messages is:

- 🔧 Go to go to the “Settings” screen.

- 🆕 There’s a new section called “Text speed settings”. There, you’ll find a new bar to adjust the chat messages speed. By default, it is set to the recommended speed.

- ⏪⏩ This bar will speed up the messages when you move it to the right, but will also slow them down if you move it to the left! (If you keep it filled up to the middle, you’ll be playing at the recommended speed).

❗❗ WARNING: We recommend to keep the recommended speed for your first playthrough. In Text Your Life, the speed at which the characters reply is part of the storytelling, so you could skip some important details if you change the messages speed. Use this feature keeping that in mind!

This new setting will be implemented in the next update (June 7th on Patreon - July 7th on Itchio). We hope this helps you enjoy the game at your own rhythm! 💃🕺

¡¡¡Extra, extra!!! 📰 🎙️ Os traemos una nueva función para la pantalla de Ajustes de TYL: ¡La posibilidad de cambiar la velocidad de los mensajes del chat! ¡Yuhuuuu! 🥳

Muchos de nuestros jugadores nos han estado pidiendo esto desde que Text Your Life fue publicado en Itch.io, ¡así que finalmente hemos buscado una manera de lograrlo para que los lectores más rápidos no acaben perdiendo la paciencia! 🤪 Jeje. Hasta ahora, teníais que activar la función “Saltar texto no visto” y usar el botón de “Saltar” para que los mensajes salieran más rápido, pero esto tenía una gran desventaja: el jugador corría el riesgo de saltarse escenas no vistas al escoger una opción distinta al rejugar los capítulos.

¡Pero por fin hemos encontrado una manera de lograr que disfrutéis del juego a la velocidad que prefiráis! 🫡 Todo lo que tenéis que hacer para cambiar la velocidad de los mensajes es lo siguiente:

- 🔧 Entrar en la pantalla de “Ajustes”.

- 🆕 Hay una nueva sección llamada “Ajustes de velocidad del texto”. Allí, encontraréis una nueva barra para ajustar la velocidad de los mensajes. Por defecto, esta barra está ajustada a la velocidad recomendada.

- ⏪⏩ Esta barra acelerará los mensajes si la movéis hacia la derecha, y los ralentizará si la movéis hacia la izquierda. (Si mantenéis la barra a la mitad, estaréis jugado a la velocidad recomendada).

❗❗ AVISO: Os recomendamos hacer vuestra primera jugada a la velocidad recomendada. En Text Your Life, la velocidad a la que los personajes contestan a los mensajes es parte de la historia y sus matices, así que es posible que os saltéis algunos detalles importante si cambiáis la velocidad de los mensajes. ¡Usad esta función teniendo eso en mente!

Esta nueva opción será implementada en la próxima actualización de contenido (7 de Junio en Patreon – 7 de Julio en Itchio). ¡Esperamos que esto os ayude a disfrutar del juego a vuestro propio ritmo! 💃🕺
